SCDCA v. Clean Credit USA, Inc. Docket No. 06-ALJ-30-0405-CC

On December 21, 2006, the Administrative Law Court (ALC) issued an Order in favor of the Department. The Court found that Clean Credit USA, Inc. was operating a credit counseling service without a license and engaged in other violations of the Consumer Credit Counseling Act. The Order requires Clean Credit USA, Inc to: (1) Cease and desist from offering credit counseling services and violating the Act, (2) Provide the Department with copies of South Carolina contracts, (3) Refund approximately $142,000 to consumers and (4) Pay an administrative fine of $241,000.
