SCDCA v. Michael S. Smith, d/b/a Smith Financial Services; d/b/a Smith Company; d/b/a Credit Correctors Docket No. 07-ALJ-30-0068-IJ
On July 19, 2007, the Administrative Law Court (ALC) issued a Final Order
for this case. Highlights of the Order include requiring Michael S.
Smith to: (1) cease and desist from offering and/or providing credit
counseling services as defined by the Act, (2) pay an administrative
fine of five thousand dollars ($5,000) to the Department and (3) submit
refunds to South Carolina consumers.
